How Lincoln Investment Can Help

You Do Not Have to Go It Alone

Lincoln Investment is here to help. We will prepare and support you in the administration of your 403(b) program.

In order to meet the requirements of the new laws and help ensure the program operates within the guidelines set forth in the IRS regulations, Lincoln Investment can assist you in the following ways:

  • 403(b) Compliance Assurance
We offer 403(b) regulatory compliance solutions based on your needs and preferences. We will supply a sample Plan Document that meets IRS requirements and a sample Service Provider Agreement for you to review and/or adopt for use in your district.

  • Employee Education and Communication
We will provide employee communications about the regulation changes, supply notices reminding all eligible employees to participate and help ensure that all employees have the same opportunity to contribute.

  • We Will Seamlessly Work with You and Your Other Vendors
We are your partner for common remitting capability, simplifying your administration and compliance functions. In addition, we will work with other vendors of your choice.

  • We will work with your Third Party Administrator (TPA).
Lincoln Investment is currently working with over 30 different TPAs across the country providing Society of Professional Asset-Managers & Record Keepers (SPARK) file formatted data sharing.

Many employers are choosing providers who give their employees more independent investment choices along with the guidance of seasoned financial representatives.

A Lincoln Investment financial representative has the knowledge and resources to help your employees find the right mix of investments to build diversified portfolios to realize virtually any long-term financial goal.

In addition, Lincoln Investment's independent mutual fund programs can help you achieve and maintain full compliance with the final 403(b) regulations by supplying you with recordkeeping services and reports on 403b) plan distributions, transfers, loans, and tax reporting. These programs:

  • Offer 1,700 mutual funds under one custodian
  • Limit employee 403(b) transfers to your approved service provider list
  • Calculate, limit and manage 403(b) hardship withdrawals based on the provisions of the final regulations and your plan document
  • Provide employer-level reporting for IRS audit purposes, including information on annual employee contributions, distributions, outstanding and defaulted loans and Forms 1099-R

Employers seek to limit the number of approved 403(b) service providers, favoring those providers who are fully capable of complying the terms of the plan document. Therefore, selecting partners that will help you comply with the new rules is critical.

Since 1968, Lincoln Investment has been serving the needs of school districts, non-profit organizations and 403(b) investors. We invite you to contact your Lincoln Investment representative to arrange a meeting.
